We are proud to announce that Azara Adria was awarded the prestigious “Zlatna Kuna”, traditional Croatian Chamber of Economy’s award for the most successful enterprises.
Azara Adria won the “Zlatna Kuna” award in the category of best small enterprises in the region in 2021. The award was handed to Adrijan Šuša, the co-founder of Azara Adria, by the mayor of Šibenik, Željko Burić.
– Azara Adria is a family company, founded 10 years ago by my spouse Anita Gulin Šuša and myself. As a fully certified maritime recruitment and employment agency for seafarers, we successfully cooperate with numerous respectable international companies in the merchant, offshore, oil and gas, and the renewable energy industries. Our primary focus is the Norwegian market.
Although we also employ international crew, Azara aims to support Croatian seafarers. Croatian seafarers are recognized and well-respected worldwide for their quality and knowledge and we strive to support the development of seafaring in our country.
We have had great success in the Norwegian market during the last two years, which is great news for our seafarers as well – said Adrijan Šuša, co-founder of Azara Adria.
“Zlatna Kuna” is the biggest acknowledgment of the Croatian Chamber of Economy (HGK). The HGK annually awards the most successful companies and individuals in Croatia for their hard work, dedication to improvement and measurable business results. “Zlatna Kuna” has been awarded since 1993.
The HGK’s “Golden Kuna” award comes just as we celebrate our ten years of service in the maritime industry. For the past ten years, Azara has been part of the global maritime, shipbuilding, and offshore industry worldwide. Azara is licensed by the Croatian Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Transport, and Infrastructure and is also a member of the Croatian Ship Manning Association.
Our journey began a few years prior, with the launch of Pomorac.hr in 2007. Pomorac.hr was the first maritime news source in this part of Europe, and it soon became the most read website for seafarers in the region.
