Azara crew agency has completed its project to digitalize and transform its business processes

The maritime agency Azara has completed its project to digitalize and transform its business processes following the signing of a grant agreement that funded these advancements. This initiative led to the development of a new digital solution, which has simplified the employment process for seafarers.

In line with the agreement signed on June 1, 2023, under the National Recovery and Resilience Facility, Azara Adria ltd. implemented the project “Uvođenje novog načina poslovanja za društvo Azara Adria d.o.o.” (NPOO.C1.1.2.R3-I3.01.0095). Through this completed initiative, Azara Adria Ltd successfully digitalized outdated business models and processes, enhancing digital skills among employees and owners. With these advancements, Azara hopes to strengthen the company’s market position, increase productivity, and improve client satisfaction.

“The custom-built online solution has provided the flexibility we aimed for, meeting both the needs of our agency and those of the seafarers we supply. The program now supports interactive features that make it easier for daily usage, and it has streamlined our internal operations,” reported representatives from Azara.

Headquartered in Šibenik, Azara is a private maritime employment agency with extensive experience in crewing, specializing in recruitment for the merchant fleet and offshore sectors. Since its founding in 2012, the agency has operated from the iNavis center in Šibenik, a Croatian-Norwegian initiative aimed at bridging the maritime industries of the two countries.

“Our partnerships have grown significantly. Today, we work with leading international clients in offshore and renewable energy sectors, offering a personalized approach to each partner and client. This commitment has strengthened our reputation among Croatian seafarers,” noted Tomislav Plazanjić, Azara’s GM.

The 18-month project, with a total budget of EUR 80,655.64—of which EUR 39,439.10 was grant-funded—has now been fully completed, marking a significant milestone in Azara’s digital transformation journey.
